About the Company
We focus on providing people with the security of knowing that, by making the necessary modifications and adjustments to their homes, they can remain in their homes rather than move to a facility as they age or if they are challenged with a disability.
About me
When I was studying Physical Therapy, I thought I would pursue a career in sports medicine because of my love of sports. However, as I began working in geriatrics, I was so moved by the people willing to share their rich lives that I knew sports medicine was no longer an option. It was adults and geriatrics all the way!
I have worked in a variety of settings, including Home Health, Skilled Nursing Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, Out-Patient and Hospitals. I have built a strong reputation for my innovative techniques, combining conventional and alternative therapy to aid people in returning to optimum health. During my twenty plus years of experience working with other practitioners, I have successfully integrated traditional physical therapy treatment with acupuncture, massage therapy, and craniosacral therapy.
I have worked extensively in Florida, Hawaii, Colorado, California, and Washington where I have noticed more recommendations for people to move to facilities rather than returning home after rehab when a few modifications would have allowed the person to return home. I am passionate about helping people stay in the comfort and sanctuary of the home they worked so hard to create.
I currently reside in Lynnwood, Washington where I am known for doing whatever it takes to ensure my client's health is restored as wholly as possible and to be able to go back home safely with the support required for independence.
I started as a pre-med major at Howard University and the State University of New York at Albany where I discovered Allied Health studies. I received a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut, specializing in geriatrics, dementia and cardiac.
Since graduating in 1992, I have taken multiple courses in: geriatrics, Parkinson’s, hip and knee syndromes and rehab, posture and gait restoration, balance disorders in geriatrics, treating neurological diseases, geriatric neurology, functional strength training for the aging spine, transferring the bariatric patient, clinical geriatrics in long term care, home assessment and modifications, and many more.
